Waiting

Don't you just hate sitting at home waiting for something? I am currently hanging around waiting for someone to come and view the house to see if they want to buy it. So far they haven't shown up so I thought I'd make use of the time and update the blog. It will also take my mind off the fact that I am missing a gardening meeting because I have to be here to show the house to the prospective buyer.
Nick and I went out for dinner to No.16 on Friday night and had a lovely meal there again. Then on Saturday Nick went off with some friends early in the morning for a big golf day out. They all had fun and despite the photo below, they are planning on doing it again sometime in April.

Talking of sun it was a beautiful weekend, so needless to say while Nick was away golfing Tom & Lily were charging around the back yard half naked desperate to jump in the pool because it was 'so hot'. What true Brits they are, the first sign of sun and Lily's in her bikini and Tom is running around in only his underpants!! I, however, appear to have acclimatised to American life a bit better than them and whilst I did sit out and enjoy the sun, I was fully dressed in slippers, socks, jeans, t shirt and hoody (fully zipped and laterly with the hood up!) It was, after all, only around 65F.. Oh dear, what's going to happen when I come home this summer? I guess I'll be wearing jumpers a lot.

On Monday I was off on a Fruit Tree Pruning Course which was very interesting, so if you are thinking of planting any fruit trees, I'm your gal. I'm still not comfortable with pruning trees that don't belong to me though, so that's something I need to work on.
