Birthday Weekend in Destin, Florida

We spent a wonderful weekend in Destin, the weather was perfect and the sea was lovely - even I went in for a swim.. Caroline Smith is with us this week for a holiday and she got Tom the Airfix Tornado F3 in III Sqn colours which is really cool, Nick checked his flight log book and he has flown in this jet a couple of times.
Lily loves Hannah Montana so she is now the proud owner of a Hannah Montana guitar with plug in microphone which allows you to sing along to the prerecorded songs on the guitar, what joy - I shouldn't complain as it was me that bought it for her.

I can't believe that T & L are now 8 & 6 years old, that means I must be getting old too.

There's a snake in the pool!!!!

There was much excitement in the Stringer house on Sunday morning when Nick discovered a snake in the pool. As you can see its not that big but it was still worthy of a photo and a mention on the blog.

Ballet

On Saturday Lily had her photo taken for her ballet recital, which is on May 13th, here is my photo of her taken in the garden before we went for the official photo shots which may be ver y American (read cheesy!!) I wasnt in the room with her when she got them done, so I have no idea what its going to look like...

Maxwell Rangers 1st Baseball Game of the Season

Tom has started to play baseball for Maxwell AFB and they finally had their first game last night - it was unseasonally cold so we were all frozen but had good fun supporting the team and cosying up to each other on the bleachers. They drew 4 all in the end but had been winning right up to the last innings. Next game is on Thursday night, thankfully the weather should be back to normal temperature for April .

Well this takes longer than it looks, I thought I had already written my first post but it seems to have disappeared when I uploaded some photos.

I'm getting hungry for lunch now so might just leave it and come back later.
